We offer Salmon & Halibut Fishing Charters in Juneau, Alaska which will get you hooked into Wild Alaskan Salmon or Halibut Fishing!

Captain Alan lives to fish! Personally it’s his passion for both at work and play. Not only does he captain the boat, but he is also very involved with assisting in the process of you fishing. HIs wife Tanja is the crew, and together they create a high-energy fun day on the water!

We offer 4, 6 and 8 hour Salmon & Halibut Fishing Charters in Juneau, Alaska that will give you the best opportunity to bring home amazing memories and get you hooked onto a Wild Alaskan Salmon or Halibut. Southeast Alaska has runs of all five species of Pacific Salmon: King, Chum, Pink, Coho and Sockeye. The time of year you visit Juneau will dictate which species we fish for.

We also offer 4 hour Halibut Fishing Charters. These charters give you the opportunity to wrestle a halibut up from the depths and onto the boat. The local limit for halibut is one per angler. There is a slot limit for halibut retention which changes annually. Ask Captain Alan for more details.

If you want to fish for both Salmon and Halibut we offer that too! Our Combination Fishing Tour is 6 or 8 hours long and provides you with ample time to try to catch both species. This also allows for time to “mix it up” for whale watching to. It’s your trip – your way. You get to decide how your family and/ or friends experience it all. Our aim is only that everyone is happy! Read more about family and/ or friends fishing here.

We offer incentives for multiple days of fishing should you be visiting Juneau and wishing to spend more time on the water. Often we’ll have a full family book for one day with a second day for part of the family that wants “more.” If possible it helps to book your fishing trip prior to the day before flying out. This way the processor can try to have your fish processed/ ready to take as a frozen box of checked luggage versus shipping it. Call us to discuss all the options.

Our fishing trips are ONLY private tours for your group with a capacity of up to 6 passengers. We promise we will not combine your tour with someone else’s. When a fish hits, it will be you fighting it, not some stranger! While we do take 6 passengers, we fish up to 4 rods at once. This doesn’t impact your chances of catching fish but it does reduce the incidents of tanged lines, lost fish, and wasted time. We’ll hustle to make sure you have the best opportunity to land fish, and promise you will have a blast!

The fishing charters include:
1) Top quality fishing gear (Shimano).
2) Cleaning of the fish at the dock.
3) Arranging with a local processor to freeze/ ship your catch home. *However there is an additional cost paid directly to the processor for their service.

Read more about Salmon and Halibut information as well as processing here.

Note: The quoted times do not include the 30 minutes taxi transportation each way (to and from our dock). There will also be scenic travel time on the boat to reach the fishing grounds. Captain Alan will choose the optimal fishing spot based on the conditions of the day. Generally it takes 30 to 40 min to get to the destination. We try not to use up all your fishing time waiting to fish! We are as eager for you to catch a fish as you are!!!

Note: Fishing Licenses are not included in the price of the tour. A one day fishing license is $25.00 and a one day King Salmon stamp +$15.00. If you are booking a Salmon fishing trip in June you will be required to buy the additional King license as we will be primarily targeting King Salmon. Throughout the remainder of the summer we are fishing for several species of Salmon thus the King license stamp is optional. However if you choose not to buy the stamp and you catch a “keeper size” King, you can not keep it without the stamp.

You can purchase your license ahead of time at the Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game’s website – adfg.alaska.gov. Doing this prior to arriving will save us time to get us in motion and out fishing! Please purchase your license for the correct date of your tour as ADF&G does not give refunds. Again, King Salmon stamps are not required for Halibut only trips OR for Salmon trips after July 1st.
