The summer fishing is in full swing in Juneau Alaska! The halibut are here and the salmon are starting to show up in numbers. We had a very successful king season with lots of kings caught and very happy customers. Lots of kids catching fishing. We love taking kids fishing and big kids too! We had an 86 year old kid catch his first king salmon too! What an achievement. Although don’t wait until you’re 86 to book with us! As we have been fishing we have been able to whale watch and fish at the same time! It’s been a busy summer. It’s only going to get busier too. More salmon are arriving every day and the outlook is great for fishing during the rest of July, August and September!
Now the pink salmon are starting to show up with the chums and we are seeing a few cohos being caught already. The coho numbers are going to keep building through September. We’re looking forward to their arrival en mass. Coho fishing is fast paced and there is plenty of action. Add the hungry pink salmon to that mix and you will have tired arms but a big smile on your face. And remember taking your kids or grandkids fishing is great way to get them to experience the outdoors and teach them about salmon, halibut, fishing and adventures. We love having kids onboard the boat. It’s so much fun.
